The first ‘beats’ Jumbled ever made were put on a tape that was given to Dwell.

Jumbled was living in an apartment in Baltimore with a friend, and had just started dating his future wife. Dwell was living in his parent’s basement, but soon to get married and move out with his wife. Dwell’s time as one of the MC’s in the group, Third Kind, was winding down which lead to a nearly 10 year hiatus from serious recording.

Dwell has been an integral part of Jumbled’s career, often recording and mixing tracks. They first collaborated on the single, 'llatio, in 2011. Fast forward to 2016 – Dwell collaborates with salk. On the track, Train of Thought, for Jumbled’s album WIWL and contributes the first official single under the BULLY banner, Bang the Bongos – which came out on Jumbled’s Action Shots [ep]. Dwell was itching to write more raps, and get back in the booth. An auto corrected text message from Dwell to Jumbled, asking to secure a beat to write to was the Genesis of Bully Preston. A year and a half later, the debut album, The Insult is released into the world.
Bully Preston gave Dwell a persona to be more braggadocios and care free with his rhymes. The Insult has beats that are all over the map. The rhymes span the gamut, with references from Tony Iommi, Run-DMC, Dr. Seuss and Freddie Blassie. Let’s Get Saucey share’s Dwell’s love of hockey, in hip-hop form, while Death of a Bully is a cliff hanger, leaving the listener to determine if Bully P will return.
